Sometimes web-slinging just isnât enough. To round out his chances against the occasional nonlinear opponent, the heavily-articulated Secret Wars Spider-Man has revisited his black costume mode and equipped himself with a new attack glider. The glider features retractable wings and a projectile missile. Now Spider-Man has the ability to beat the Vulture at his own game! Spider-Manâs black costume originated with a symbiotic organism, styled unconsciously after Spider-Manâs infatuation with the black-costumed Spider-Woman II. Apart from serving as a costume and generating web fluid, the costume also altered itself to a civilian capacity so that Peter Parker rarely ever required a change of clothes. Unfortunately, the suit became obsessed with its host and Spider-Man was eventually forced to physically disentangle himself from the suit. Eventually, the suit found its new host, merging with Eddie Brock to become monstrous anti-hero Venom.
