User Ratings and Reviews

1 Stars What a horrible toy
This toy is not only dangerous but it doesn’t work properly. My 5-year-old son received this as a gift. It took a very long time to assemble, especially since the letters in the instructions do not match the letters on the pieces. The car doesn’t stay on track. The string for Spider-Man is too long and Spider-Man is too heavy to actually propel. And don’t get in the path of Spider-Man when he propels or someone will get knocked unconscious. I would highly recommend a recall on this toy. It is not fit for children.

1 Stars This toy sucks!
Okay first of all this is a pain to put together. The letters in the assembly instructions do not match the letters on the pieces. Venom’s head fits backwards and must be manipulated to stay on. The string for Spiderman cannot be shortened enough and therefore he will never attack Venom the way he should. All that being said, do you remember the Christmas Story quote “Hey kid. you’ll shoot your eye out?” Well, Ralphie had nothing on this toy. It managed to nearly blind three people with the Spiderman dart. As you have to sit on the floor to play it shoots across the room and nearly wounds you in the face every time. The car also flys off the track so if you are planning on laying down near it to faciltate its movement, don’t. Spiderman is very heavy and also flys though admittedly not well. But he too could wound a four year old. So if you are interested in being hit with projectiles or possibly losing your eyesight or you like lawsuits by all means invest in this hazard.

1 Stars Don’t waste your time
We got this toy as a Christmas present. First of all, it’s not durable — Venom hardly stays attached and getting the Spiderman to slide down the track is impossible. It’s way too hard for my kids (ages 4 and 6) to play by themselves, we had to keep helping them. They got tired of trying to make it work. I bought it on sale so at least I didn’t pay too much but still, don’t waste your money.

1 Stars I guess VENOM wins???? …b/c this Spiderman toy does NOT!
I will say it was not too difficult to assemble, although the letters on the instruction manual (describing the tracks) do not match the letters on the actual tracks. It is NOT durable, however. Unless you have a HUGE playroom, this is also a large toy to keep set up. Honestly, I doubt most kids would want to keep it set up, however because it does not function, as described. The car SHOULD shoot around the track 5 times and then release a “dart” with a string attached that spiderman swings down from. The intention is that spiderman swings down and hits Venom so he will fall to pieces. The string is too long. Although the instructions says you can turn a dial to shorten the string, it will only shorten a small bit–not enough. DISAPPOINTED!!
