1 Stars Very disappointed
We had this toy for 5 minutes before it broke. The retractable string came unattached from the ring that attaches to spiderman’s wrist. Therefore, the string retracted all of the way back inside the base unit never to be seen again. He cannot perform his “Web-climbing action” without the string.

i got this toy for my 6 year old son and he absolutely loves it. sometimes he plays with just the spiderman doll without the ledge and other times he uses it. he says “you can make him jump off the ledge by pushing the edge and you can make him crawl down the table my pulling the spidey web out. its a really cool toy and i like it a lot.

5 Stars Great for the imagination, swimming & dexterity
My 3 year old son just loves this set. He pretends he is spider man, and plays with it daily even weeks after receiving it. Many nights he falls asleep wearing the gloves!
My son has to have occupational therapy due to lack of dexterity. His dexterity has improved since getting this set. He can put the gloves on himself. Since he wears the gloves constantly, his dexterity has to be even better to pick up items, eat, etc.!
He also loves to practice swimming with this set.
The only drawback–now all his friends want spider man sets too!
2 Stars Hilariously useless swim gear!
My son broke it open and immediately put it on. I laughed so hard I almost broke my knee bending over to catch my breath. He doesn’t care, he’s got on Spiderman gear and he’s three months away from actually swimming in a pool this year. I think it’s a mistake to only have one squirting glove (what if your child is a lefty like mine?) but I suppose the manufacturing costs might have pushed this past the forty dollar mark at a retail store.
UPDATE: 07-June-2008: hot day at my sister’s pool, my man puts it on, and they immediately prove… worthless. The flippers don’t really flip, and the hand flippers are more of a nuisance than anything else. The goggles won’t stay on correctly. The one web shooter does shoot this ridiculously long, thin stream of water, which only my daughter found amusing enough to keep using. It looks like fun, but in practice it really wasn’t. We’ll try again this weekend, but I don’t have much hope for it.

5 Stars Great swimming fun
My 5 year old LOVES his spiderman swim set. The fins and gloves help him to learn the proper way to use his hands and feet to swim, kids LOVE to wear goggles swimming and these googles are just plain fun. One glove can squirt to ward off Spiderman’s enemies (the Hulk perhaps?). Hours of fun at the pool with this set!!
5 Stars Provides hours of pool-time fun!
We got two of these as gifts for my wife’s nephews (ages 5 and 7) and they could not play with them enough! I even jumped into the pool and tried out the spraying glove and had a blast. They fit perfectly and were made of durable materials. The only complaint is that only of the gloves in each set shoots water instead of the pair. Still, great gift for any kid that wants to be Spider-man.
